@racinggamefanatic You are right and having to pay as much as $40 in pretty much nothing but color changes to the main character(s) and a few items is frankly disgusting. Ugh, don't get me started on these so called 'Deluxe Editions' where there are no extra content.
Not against pay extra is the content is good. Still the only "deluxe" content I do support whenever possible are well made soundtracks.

Patience pays off, I just got me quite a few PS5 games for extremely cheap. So glad I held back and ding waste $70 a pop on all of these! Got me Uncharted Legacy of Thieves ($20 bucks, sure!) Death Stranding Director's cut ($20,) Nioh Collection ($30), Ratchet & Clank ($30), Returnal ($30) and a few switch games too.

Maybe next year we get to see an actually decent deal on TLOU remakester, $50 for that is still theft. $30 tops for me.

I have the Sony M9’s headphones. The M7’s are on sale for $149 on PlayStation Direct and they are almost the same minus the noise canceling and leather ear cups. For that price they are a steal if anyone is looking for new headphones.

@Tharsman i have he Digital PS5, as i have stopped buying discs almost 10 years ago now. But if Returnal goes on sale for $30 on the store i might give it a go. Those style of games aren’t really my thing, but i think it looks cool. Ratchet and last of us part 1 and of course God of War i paid full price for. You are right, looking back i should have waited for last of us. $70 was a bit much, great game, but a bit high. I only use my PS5 for sony exclusives, so i tend to not wait for most of them.

@Green-Bandit I also use my PS5 exclusively for exclusives, and even then just for ones that are 100% never coming to other consoles (so mostly just first party ones since a lot of games also come for Switch and I rather play portable than 4k.)

Returnal didn't peek my interest too much due to many stubborn choices that demand long sessions, but for $30 I am willing to give it a shot. If I hate it, I can always sell or gift the game (reason I buy these games only physically too, at least on PS and Switch, on XBox I'm all digital.)

God of War 2 I'm waiting for a sale even if I have to wait a year. I might go for it if I see it for $50 or $40 though.

@Tharsman i agree with you on Returnal. There is a slight part of me that wished i would have went disc on PS5 for that very reason you mentioned. Yes on Xbox i am 100% digital and good with that. On my Switch i went Digital thinking i didn’t want to take carts with me, a portable machine that carries my whole library makes more sense, until i remembered that Nintendo will probably screw me over when they change systems and start a new Eshop or something haha, yes i would say if you can snag GOWR for $50 or under, it is well worth it. One of my favorite PS games in a long long time.

I got hold of TLOU pt1 and 2 from Argos yesterday. I know pt2 is PS4, but for 9 quid you can't complain that should keep a boy busy over Christmas!

The award for best deal, if an award can be awarded for such a thing, surely has to go to the Argos DualSense/HFW deal for £44.99.

Uk Amazon is best and Base .. Game is only good for big items like console bundles the games are the going rate or over priced and Currys is ok but a mess to find things.

I saw Horizon Forbidden West PS5 for £25 in Asda, Red Dead Redemption 2 was £12.

Guardians of the Galaxy is only £13 in Game if you are in the UK, cheaper than Amazon.

I truly do not understand why Sony didn't expand the discount for tiers beyond just the 1 year subscription.

Are cheap TV's worth it for the PS5 or is a more expensive version worth it?

For me, the only Sony product I'm tempted by this BF are the WH-1000XM5 headphones, down from £379 to £299 at a number of retailers.

I heard a pair at a friends a few months ago and they're so, so good. But even at this 'sale' price, so, so expensive. Need vs Want in full effect.

You can get the LG C2 55" OLED for £979 if you join Richer Sounds as a VIP (which is free to do) and you get 6 year warranty and great customer service. That seems a lot better than the £1200 that this site is promoting as a good deal doesn't it 🤔🤔

We bought a refurbished TV from Argos in March. (It was £189).
If I remember right, it was released in 2020 Nov.
Anyway, It does what I need, big screen for game, nice sound, 4xHDMI sockets, USBs. My partner has what she wants: Amazon Prime, Netflix and other apps. As value/features, it was a great deal for us.

The point is that It looks like new, no problems apart from the remote controller (But I sort that out). If you are not against
refurbished tech, then just search “refurbished TV”. Some companies have now and then a fantastic deal in the UK.
Back in time I saw some awesome refurbished TVs for £300-500 but to be fair, I felt it doesn't add much more value compare to our chosen one. But everybody has different taste and priority.

@Ravix that is a really decent deal, and always happiest giving a quality company like Richer Sounds the money. If I wasn't going to upsize from 55 to 65 next time around, I would definitely have been tempted!

@Gamer_Guy it's a phenomenal deal to be honest. I got my oled a while back from richer sounds at a great price, and they will usually match even the most obscure deals you can find too, if you find it cheaper. If I needed another TV I'd be all over this. I think they have a deal for most sizes of the LG C2, plus last year's C1 etc. the popular monitor replacer 42" c2 is under £700 as well

And they have that 2022 Samsung OLED s95b 65" at £1400, but I think the "b" stands for "bendy" in that model so not sure if that's a TV that will last long. It's so freaking thin 👀

People should definitely check richer sounds for TVs any time of year, and sales times even more so. Basically impossible to get better anywhere else really

@Ravix I've seen the C2 65 for £1500, which is really decent too.

In the end, my tech spend for BF started and finished with the awesome Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones, price matched/beaten by the guys at Richer Sounds to £280. Quite enough outlay for the time being

Great to pick up a 1tb ssd with PS5 specific heatsink for under £100.
My friend is a bit broke so I've picked it up for a xmass pressie for him and I know he will be happy with that...
