Sony has unveiled a new promotion in the USA that allows anyone who purchases and then activates a new PS5 by 20th October 2023 to redeem a free PS5 game. Those who qualify will need to turn the console on and button over to the PS Store, where a banner will take you to a page listing the 12 PS5 titles you can pick from. The complete list of games on offer is as follows:
- Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales
- Marvel's Spider-Man: Remastered
- God of War Ragnarok
- Horizon Forbidden West
- Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
- Demon's Souls
- The Last of Us: Part I
- Sackboy: A Big Adventure
- Returnal
- Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
- Death Stranding: Director's Cut
Dubbed the Upgrader Program, whichever PS5 game you choose will be yours to keep on the account you either set up or carry over from PS4. The legal terms and conditions warn the selection of games on offer can change at any time, and the promotion itself may end before the expiration date set for late October 2023.
Given the fact PS Plus Extra grants you access to almost all of these PS5 games, the best way to maximise the deal's value would be to claim either God of War Ragnarok or The Last of Us: Part I. The only titles not on Sony's subscription service at the time of writing, you could gain access to all the other games with a membership.

@Americansamurai1 I was wondering the same as @Beerheadgamer82 They reported 40 millions sales in July. And that was BEFORE their recent efforts to shift more consoles that have led to a massive increase in YoY sales most months.

Is Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered in the PS Plus Extra catalog? I think the original PS4 version was removed from the catalog a few months ago and the remastered version was never part of the catalog.

Notable that there's no GT7 there, I wonder why they wouldn't offer specifically that when pretty much every other PS5 game under PS Studios is available.
