Sorry, PSVR2 fans — you won't be ripping pixels in Pixel Ripped 1995 until 3rd October, 2023. Initially planned for release on 12th September (today, if you're reading this today), developer ARVORE has made a last-minute delay to this upgraded version.
In a press release, the studio says the new date is due to an "unexpected delay in the Quality Assurance process", and that's all we know about the situation. Still, it's only a couple of weeks more to wait, so it's hardly the end of the world.
Pixel Ripped 1995 originally launched on PSVR, but this PSVR2 version takes things a step further with a few enhancements. It implements "better graphics and performance, head rumble, and adaptive triggers", and those who own the PSVR version can get the upgraded port free of charge.
Are you looking forward to Pixel Ripped 1995 on PSVR2? Let us know in the comments section below.

Of course it's in October! Not like there are any other big games that month. Guess this game is getting pushed back to 2024 for me.
Shame, I was looking forward to that. Still, plenty to play. Quite apart from all the VR2 games I haven’t finished yet, or even started, I’m already getting Ruinsmagus this month.
@thefourfoldroot1Ruinsmagis seems interesting but waiting for Hellsweeper myself.
@Gooseman42 yeah Hellsweeper is the one for me. Ruinsmagus looks really cool though, just not a day one
My face is tired.
The only upgrade I want is to Skyrim.
This type of thing won't motivate me to remove the inch of dust from my PSVR2 unfortunately.
The cooler Autumn weather is more compatible with VR as it's unbearable in scummy muggy UK in the summer with no AC, but in the absence of decent new games, this won't cut it.
Skyrim and Fallout now!
@SgtTruth No dust on my PSVR2 (GT7 alone is ensuring that) but totally agree on really wanting a big long adventure experience now - Skyrim, Fallout, Borderlands, anything like that.
Surely PSVR2 isn’t going to be the only platform in the universe that they don’t re-release Skyrim on!! 🤣🤣🤣
@Hamst88 I sure hope you are right. It would sell like hotcakes and hopefully that would encourage Bethesda to give us a proper Fallout or Doom Eternal in VR.
@Gooseman42
It looks good, but for me it’s ruinsmagus this month, then The 7th guest next month, then might get around to Hubris. Then I’ll consider Hellsweeper. That’s unless some of the VR2 games of been holding out on go on sale.
@Hamst88 yeah mate the irony! I expect the new Apple Watch Ultra 2 will get Skyrim and us PSVR2 owners will still be waiting for a patch!
Hell I don't even care if they don't update it for the new motion controls if that's too much effort (although the code already exists in the PC space).
If they want to be lazy, just do a joypad-only update so it's purely a graphic enhancement and nothing more! I'd be happy!
