Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Update Fixes Flag Issue and More, Here Are the Patch Notes

To be fair, Insomniac games are usually pretty polished. Well, from the PS4 era anyway, been playing A Crack in Time and it’s a UX nightmare.

Thank God the flag issues fixed eh 🤣

Only bugs I’ve experienced so far were in the beginning of the game when cutscenes didn’t sync properly with audio and subtitles. As well as when I paused a game during cutscenes, it seemed the cutscene was still running. But other than that, I’ve not experienced anything major

I had the game crash, but that's really it. I've not experienced any of these apparent major bugs people are reporting. I still think that many of them are bad actors trying to intentionally slander the game and by breaking it.

Unless I missed something, they need to add an option to change the color of the perfect parry signal. Having both the perfect dodge and parry signals be red was so frustrating, especially during the more challenging fights in the final third.

@RBMango I agree it's confusing. I don't really enjoy the parry mechanic and that could be one of the reasons. I feel like it breaks the flow of the combat too much and I do often end up pressing circle by accident.

The fights in this game feel a lot more chaotic and messy than I remember from the previous two games.

@theSpectre just because you've not had major bugs, doesn't mean they don't exist. I've had a lot of them including 1 game crash and 2 that made me close to game and start it up again. Bugs happen, no game release is perfect.

@theMEGAniggle Almost got the platinum but the game ranges from great, like the hoverboots, to the worst thing I’ve ever played, every Clank section. Insomniac are kinda like that though, their games are always a bit of a hodgepodge.

I have LG C1 OLED 120HZ , I have a problem with resolution , the resolution are too low even in fidelity and the building are shimmering I can't continue like this , I contacted insomniac support they gave me some questions regarding the issue , I just response those questions and give them some prove with capture , I hope they will fix this issue as soon as possible . The buillding shimmering , The resolution low even the UI , you can confirm my words when you select photo mode and zoom into the characters you notice that the resolution it's not 4K and you can see pixel that's it's shame , the raytracing doesn't work right unfortunately

NOTE1 : I turned off : Motion blur , film grain and chromatic abberation it's look better but not that great as my friends experience unfortunately

@osb_abdenour27 C1 is old hat now - buy a better TV.

@Pranwell still the best TV for PS5 bro , I told you that i'm not the only one there are a lot of players who face this issue and they have C2 and +

@theSpectre a lot of the reports of huge issues came from accounts whose sole existence is smack talking Sony. I’ve plenty of issues with Sony, don’t get me wrong, but the game hasn’t had any issues for me and most of the ‘bugs’ shown were mashups of random graphical bugs, textures not loading etc. isolated incidents being crammed together to give the illusion of brokenness.

It’s fine to not like PlayStation, it’s fine to be mad Spider-Man isn’t on Xbox. I get it, but be an adult about it and don’t make up stuff just to make yourself feel better.

Just 100% the game at around 29 hours and the first bug I got was on about 97% getting the last few collectibles and it changed my characters to a white square, other than that it's felt pretty polished tbh. Had a blast with the game its had me hooked every spare hour I've got in the evenings and weekend. Few of the collectibles were annoying and the miles missions at his school were a pain in the *rse, just let me be spiderman not piss around doing jobs at his school! Other than that great! Few more trophies to gey for the plat then I think that's me done until New game+ and DLC!

The only BUG for me is the users score on Metacritic.....lots of zero scores 😏😏💤.

@DeathlySW And let's not forget, the same thing happened to Starfield and even Tears of the Kingdom. I'm so sick of the console war BS. Just enjoy the games, why do we need to get angry about literally everything?

The only bug I’ve encountered is my game refusing to load up past the game initial load screen from the PS5 home menu and having errors pop with the latest. Had to uninstall and reinstall my game. I haven’t encountered any bugs or issues whilst playing though

@NinjaNicky Yes, I know that and I acknowledged that. Every game has bugs. The difference with Spider-Man 2 (and it happened with Starfield too) is that bad actors are intentionally trying to trash the game by breaking it to find bugs

I hope the clipping has improved, I've had a nightmare with it, and the crashing.

But what about the cuban flag suit I unlocked, seems a bit silly to have that?

@theSpectre I know every game has bugs, but I've had more bugs in this than anything else I've picked up this year, and at least 5 hard resets. This needed another month in the oven.

@Fishnpeas I've played many games that released in a far worse state than this. The game isn't even getting review bombed on metacritic, which I think is further proof that the game isn't as buggy as people are trying to claim and people review bomb for every trivial thing.
